If you've explored the Delphi installation files to any length, you've probably discovered the sample images under C:\Common Files\Borland Shared\Images. While some of these are very useful, the Buttons\ directory is somewhat disappointing when compared to the visual quality of the glyphs used in Delphi itself.
Many users base their opinions of your applications, in part, on their visual appearance. While unfortunate, this is something that we have to live with.
In an attempt to help Delphi 1.0 developers provide more professional-looking applications, I used Resource Workshop to extract the glyphs provided with Delphi 1 and uploaded the results to several locations as 76GLYPHS.ZIP. In turn, this has been redistributed to a number of places.
Over the course of the last five years, I've continued to refine those original images by fixing several problems with them (including mismatched sizes, palettes that were larger than necessary, and so on) and created new images from a number of sources.
Our Download pages provide a more current set of those images.
Please note that I continue to refine my collection. For example, I'm in the process of creating ImageList versions, as well as improving the quality of some of the existing ones. The download will be updated from time to time to reflect those changes, as will this page. Eventually, the images will be reorganized into various groups.
